Jermaine “Vigilany” McCall. Born and raised in Prichard, Al.

Artist, producer, songwriter and serial entrepreneur are a few words that describe Jermaine “Vigilany” McCall. Born and raised in Prichard, Al., Vigilany realized at an early age he would have to go above and beyond to become a success….as well as survive. The love for music and art came naturally. After being introduced to all forms of music through his Mother’s Saturday cleaning sessions along with exposure from other family members, Vigilany connected most with hip hop.

Studying artists like Tupac, Ice Cube, Scarface and Nas amongst many others, influenced Vigilany to speak from real life experiences. It also convinced him to make music that represented his small Alabama hometown while still appealing to the masses.

Vigilany began as a part of a duo “Urban Life” with Demarco “Polo” Robinson. The two high school mates would leave Prichard and enroll in Florida A&M after being offered a deal with a local label. Urban Life released several singles before respectfully parting ways. Vigilany moved back to Mobile, Al. and continued as a solo artist/producer. He immediately began working on his first solo effort. After releasing and having local success on his first album “Nihilism”, Vigilany relocated again from Alabama to Atlanta to further his career.

The move to Atlanta exposed Vigilany to the ups and downs of industry while enhancing his ear for quality sound, mixing and mastering. He partnered with a childhood friend Jermond “Mondstar” Lindsay and launched Live Legends Ent. releasing several mixtapes with all in house production from Deon “Rounboi on Da Grill” Jackson, Mondstar and Fredrick “FDR” Richardson.

Now understanding the need to self finance his career, Vigilany obsessively studied business and added additional revenue streams while relocating once again to NY. Once in NY, he began working with local artist as well as making his acting debut in the independent film “Darkest Before Dawn”. While in the hip hop Mecca, Vigilany recorded and released several mixtapes gaining local radio and satellite radio play. Working closely with an original member of the in house production team, Vigilany and FDR Musik gained praise with club anthem “Go To Work”. The single written and performed by Party G The Humble expanded the uniquely crafted composition introducing NY to a new sound.

Switching hats, Vigilany assumed the role of CO-CEO, manager and producer working primarily with Party G and Atlantic City native Platinum VVS of OFG ent. The three would work collaboratively before moving on to focus on their individual brands and careers.

Vigilany’s most current role would bring things full circle. He reconnected with former college roommate and CEO of Blaq Pyrate Nation LLC
Karim “Primo Dollars” Rothwell to form the super group The Administration. Vigilany and Blaq Pyrates would release “Steady Growth”. Several interviews, shows, a video filmed in Time Square weeks before the pandemic began and rave reviews from fans prompted the conglomerate to go further as a unit.

Similar values of Economic Empowerment, Nation building and pure hustle motivated the two former roommates to create The New Southern Order. An all out reconstruction of the current conditions that plague both their hometowns through the arts, financial literacy, spiritual awareness and business development. Vigilany and Primo also partnered to release several projects under the newly formed 229 Records. Stay Tuned!
