The 7

Jonny Papez, a.k.a. The 7 (born Jeffrey Alexander), is an American conscious hip-hop/soul musician from Cordele, Georgia.  Originally, Papez was a member of the Cordele based group Black 100 Family.  After a short run with this group, Jonny Papez branched off to start a digital magazine company called “229Mag DVD Magazine”.  Through this company, he became one of the first individuals in Southwest Georgia to begin filming independent music videos.  The eccentric artist was recognized early for his brilliance and, in ninth grade, placed in an academic program called ACCEL for exceptionally intelligent students.  Upon completion of the program, he earned several certifications as an industrial and residential electrician.  In 2011, Jeffrey teamed up with Marty MacFly and created the rap duo “Primo and Papez”.  Together they recorded two mixtapes and from there, Papez joined MacFly and the rest of the Blaq Pyrates as the fifth member.  After several more mixtapes and singles with the group, Jonny Papez took time away from the Pyrates to start an electrical and 3D printing company, his second company in a ten year span.
